The orchard
Pear, plum, peach and apricot across the property, and they fruit. Guests do not expect this and it is the thing they mention afterwards.
The bonfire
Lit in the evening when the weather allows. Ask at reception during the day so we can set it up before dark.
The terrace at night
No streetlights for some distance in any direction. On a clear night the sky here does what it cannot do in Delhi.
Indoor games
For the afternoon it rains, which in the monsoon it will. Carrom, board games and cards at reception.
Walks into the pines
Trails run out from the property in three directions. Ask Mr. Wajid which one suits how much time you have.
Kainchi Dham
The Neem Karoli Baba ashram sits in the valley below Bhowali, and it is the single most common reason guests give for choosing Ramgarh over Nainital town.
Go early. The road narrows and the parking fills, and by mid morning in season you will queue for both. Leaving here at seven puts you there before the crowd. We will pack you breakfast if you tell us the night before.

All distances are by road and all of them are hill roads. Add time rather than assuming the map is right, especially in the monsoon.
Three quarters of our guests arrive as a family.
Mostly from Delhi NCR, mostly driving, usually two adults and one or two children. So the things that matter are the ones nobody advertises: you can park at the door, the kitchen will cook plain food for a small child, and there is enough ground for them to run on without leaving the property.
Children under 12 and infants stay free without extra bedding. Pets are welcome at no charge, we only ask that you tell us when you book.
