This website is operated by Dharampal Resorts LLP, trading as Hotel Cloud Inn, ZA, Khata No. 5, Village Bohrakot, Ramgarh, Nainital, Uttarakhand, 263137, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Booking information. Name, phone number, email address, arrival and departure dates, number of guests, and any preferences you tell us.
- Enquiry information. Anything you enter into a contact or event enquiry form on this site.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by a third party payment gateway. Card details are entered on the gateway's systems, not ours, and we do not store card numbers.
- Usage information. Standard analytics such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics.
Why we collect it
To take and manage your booking, to contact you about your stay or your enquiry, to meet the guest registration requirements Indian law places on hotels, to issue invoices and comply with tax obligations, and to understand which parts of this website are useful.
Guest registration and legal requirements
Hotels in India are required to record guest identification at check in. Foreign nationals must present a passport and visa, and we are required to submit Form C to the authorities. This is a legal obligation and is not optional.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with our booking and property management provider, our payment gateway, Google, whose Workspace service holds the enquiry records this website creates, and any authority we are legally required to report to. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
When you send any form on this site, what you typed is written into a spreadsheet in the hotel's own Google Workspace account and an alert goes to the office. Nothing passes through any other company on the way.
Where you booked through a third party booking platform, that platform has its own privacy policy governing the information you gave them.
How long we keep it
Booking and billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to deal with the enquiry.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for basic functionality and for analytics. Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you press Accept on the cookie bar, so if you decline, or simply ignore it, nothing about your visit reaches Google in any form. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may affect how parts of the booking process work.
One thing is stored on your device whatever you choose, because the booking screen cannot work without it: the dates and room you are looking at, and our published rate table, so prices appear without reloading them on every page. It is not sent anywhere and it carries nothing about who you are.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required by law to keep it. Write to info@hotelcloudinn.com and we will respond.
