You park at your room door
Nainital has government lots and no private parking on Mall Road. Here you stop at the entrance and carry your bags ten steps.
Twelve rooms face the valley. Six face the garden.
Valley View rooms open onto a private balcony looking at the Himalayan range. Standard rooms sit garden facing, quieter, and lower priced. Every room can be booked with breakfast or without it.

Pear, plum, peach and apricot.
The trees are across the property and they fruit. Guests do not expect this, and they mention it afterwards.
Kainchi Dham is forty minutes away. There is a sunrise point, walks into the pines, a bonfire in the evening, and a sky with enough stars in it that children stop asking for the phone. Indoor games when it rains.

Things we do not have.
No lift
The property runs across floors and you will use stairs. Worth knowing if you are travelling with elderly parents.
No swimming pool
There is a valley, an orchard and a terrace. There is no pool and there is not going to be one.
No market at the gate
The nearest shops are a drive away. Bring what you need. The quiet is the reason people come.
We would rather you read this now than discover it on arrival. Most of our rating comes from guests who knew exactly what they were coming to.
