Pets stay free

There is no pet charge, no deposit and no size rule. The only thing we ask is that you tell us at the time of booking, so we can put you in a room that suits and let the housekeeping team know.

Why this property works for a dog

• You park at your own room door, so there is no lobby crossing and no long approach with an anxious animal after a seven hour drive
• There is open ground and an orchard on the property, so the walk does not have to be on a road
• Trails run out from the property in three directions
• The property is quiet, with eighteen rooms and no crowds, which matters for a dog that is not used to hotels
• Reception is staffed 24 hours if you need anything at an odd time

A few sensible things

Pets are not permitted in the restaurant or on the dining terrace during service. We will happily serve you on your own balcony instead, which most guests with dogs prefer anyway.

Please keep your pet leashed in the common areas, and do not leave an animal alone in the room if it is likely to be distressed. You are responsible for any damage, which in practice has almost never come up.

On the walking trails

After heavy rain in the monsoon there are leeches on the trails. Check your dog after a walk in July, August and September. Ask at reception which route is driest that week.
